On 6 December, in celebration of the 102nd Finnish Independence Day, a contingent of seven LDDK members completed a 20-kilometre loaded foot march in Livonia. The march took 2.5 hours and was performed primarily in the forested hills away from all roads.



Maj Broileri, ltn Raunhofer (res), ylik Scottz, alik Vultyr, korpr Hesari, korp Ukka, and stm Ottomaani have been awarded with a commendation and an evening off for taking part in the voluntary forced march.

On 8 December, Kyllikki's name day, the Local Defence Detachment Kyllikki held the biannual parade and platoon inspection.



Alik Vultyr was awarded with Pro Kyllikki for exemplary service and great favours for LDDK.

Ylik Haba was awarded with the Golden Wrench for continuously providing outstanding missions in support of LDDK's combat capability.

Ylik Kuik and korpr Ukka were awarded with Kuntoisuusloma (KL) for participating in every combat mission of fall 2019 and surviving most of them.

Korprs Mika and Pionjaer were awarded with Kuntoisuusloma (KL) for participating in every combat mission of fall 2019.

Korpr Hesari and stm Ottomaani were awarded with Kuntoisuusloma (KL) for exemplary service.

Furthermore, vänr Sami and korpr Maako were awarded with the 15-year service ribbon in recognition of their long and active service.

After the formalities, the Detachment was ordered to attack an enemy outpost a little east of the border. The mission was a success with the platoon having inflicted great casualties to the enemy, three bridges on the border being destroyed and some LDDK members even surviving.

A special group from LDD Kyllikki patrolled the eastern borders from 17 to 20 October.

Many enemies in blue were met. Their transport vehicles weren't waterproof, and on one occasion one of them spilled its passengers all over the battlefield. They were promptly dealt with, and only a few remained after the patrol had returned.

In its downtime, the group practiced shooting skills and combat tactics, never forgetting to gorge themselves with gourmet foods.

The Detachment has started operating in the area of Livonia. The dense forests and wide open fields will be the scene of many bloody battles.

As of 9 September 2019, the DLC Contact is in use on LDDK's Arma 3 server and is required from all players.

Summer meeting of 2019 was held in Karstula, Central Finland.

The squads mobile units gathered at the luxurious Käpälälauvan kämppä. Activities included various competitions, eating meat and having fun in general.



Sakinz was promoted to Alikersantti (alik).

ylik HaBa, maj Broileri, ylik Charlie Frank, ylik Scottz, kers Kuokkanen, alik Sakinz, korpr CZ, korpr Ukka, korpr Nouty, korpr Pionjaer, stm Ottomaani and alik Stellar have been awarded Talkootyön Ansiomitali (TA) for participating.

In celebration of the Finnish Defence Forces Flag Day, a traditional platoon inspection was held on 4 June 2019.

Among other things, attention was once again brought to the extreme significance and high quality of the work done by LDDK's mission makers in regard to the war effort. It is thanks to the many hours they put in for the Detachment that we can strive and meet completely new challenges almost each and every Sunday.

Kers Haba was promoted to ylikersantti (ylik).

Alok VeePee was promoted to Sotamies (stm) and assigned to the 3rd Squad "Nyrkki" as a Special Jaeger.

Alik Arto was awarded with Kuntoisuusloma (KL) for surviving most platoon missions in the Detachment since fall 2018.

In addition, Kuntoisuusloma (KL) was awarded to ylik Scottz, alik Vultyr, korpr Sakinz, korpr Pionjaer and stm Ottomaani for exemplary service.



After the inspection, LDDK succesfully eliminated a well-defended enemy artillery battery that was harassing our allies.

The Detachment has established a presence in the region of Weferlingen, a tactically important location between Hannover and Berlin at the Inner German Border during the 1980s, and is preparing for every scenario.

As of 13 May 2019, the DLC Global Mobilization: Cold War Germany is in use on LDDK's Arma 3 server and is required from all players.

Altrix has been promoted to Sotamies (stm) and assigned to the 1st Squad "Kotka" as a Special Jaeger.

Two years ago Tanoa was ravaged by a bloody civil war, where the instigator was a renegade general Vehilani Molias. Unfortunately he managed to escape.

After a long reconnaissance operations we managed to track him down on the island of Malden where he has grown in influence while staying in the shadows. Molias has gathered assets with illegal arms deals and opium. One by one he has corrupted state officials including minister of defence, police commissioner and even the president.

Finally we have a chance to make pay for his crimes.

Once again, a traditional meeting in Kannus, Central Ostrobothnia, was held in the beginning of March. Detachment was kept well occupied with board and card games, exotic food and refreshments. Local cuisine and leisure time was enjoyed with good appetite. Detachment also had to survive a shipwreck at sea and destroy enemy forces with limited resources. And even without an active officer present, the participants maintained squad ethos and etiquette par excellence.
