Indepence Day Inspection

The annual detachment inspection was held on Sunday in celebration of Finland's independence day.



Vänr Psykoisi was promoted to Luutnantti.
Korpr Winters was promoted to Alikersantti.
Stm Karko was promoted to Korpraali.

Vänr Mammoth was awarded with 4. Luokan Vapaudenristi (VR 4). Vänr Mammoth has proven his worth as one of LDDK's top leaders for more than five years now and has commanded the Jaeger Platoon and the 1st Squad with outstanding success.

Korpr Spinoza was awarded with Pro Kyllikki (PK) for exemplary service and great favours for LDDK. Since joining the detachment over two years ago, korpr Spinoza has established himself as LDDK's most important liaison to the international community and organised a great number of games with other squads. The significance of this feat cannot be overstated.

Alik Sami, alik Kuik, korpr Maako, korpr Raunhofer and stm Shuko were awarded with Kuntoisuusloma (KL) for exemplary service.

Commendations

Korprs Hammer and Winters have been awarded with Kuntoisuusloma (KL) for bravery in combat in the attack against Elektrozavodsk on September 27. As the sole survivors in a desperate situation, Hammer and Winters showed what can be achieved with teamwork and skill and destroyed the remaining enemy combatants.

Alik Night has been awarded with Kuntoisuusloma (KL) for creating a tactical guide for the snipers of LDDK.

Marksmanship Medals Awarded

LDDK's marksmanship test is taken in a dedicated shooting range under the watchful eye of an officer or NCO. The test lasts 60 seconds exactly, during which the marksman must hit as many of the 30 targets as he can with two rounds. As a test of both accuracy and speed, it is a simple and reliable way to determine the potentially most lethal riflemen in the company.

During the first half of 2009 the following men excelled with the RK95 as their weapon in the shooting range made by kers Patteri for Armed Assault:

Stm Karko with the result of 1 target remaining after 60 seconds had elapsed.
Korpr Nuatti with the result of 1.
Kapt Broileri with the result of 2.
Alik Night with the result of 4.
Korpr Ukkapukka with the result of 4.

Stm Karko, korpr Nuatti, kapt Broileri, alik Night and korpr Ukkapukka have been awarded with Ampumataitomitali.

The quality of the shooters being better than ever before, scaling of the results had to be tightened, and it was more difficult than ever to rise in the standing. Nevertheless, korpr Kuik, korpr Winters, kers Kuokkanen, korpr Charlie Frank, vänr Goeth, korpr Krapula and kopr Spinoza qualified as Good.
