LAN Party at Lempäälä

LDDK's first official LAN party was held at Lempäälä last weekend. The event was a great success, and sunny weather, sauna with hot tub, barbecue, cold beverages and of course Operation Arrowhead were enjoyed by everybody involved.



Shuko was promoted to Korpraali.

In addition, Kuik, Psykoisi, Blake, Winters, Raunhofer, Spinoza, Stellar, Luftwaffen, Metsäpeikko and Shuko were awarded with Talkootyön Ansiomitali for participating.

Flag Day Inspection

A platoon inspection was held on June 4, which is the birthday of Marshal Mannerheim and the Finnish Defence Forces Flag Day.

Vääpeli Blake was promoted to Ylivääpeli (yliv).
Alikersantti Sami was promoted to Kersantti (kers).
Sotamies Bruun was promoted to Korpraali (korpr)

Alik Winters was awarded with Maanpuolustusmitali (MPM) for constantly showing conspicuous skill and determination in combat. Alik Winters has time and again displayed initiative and resourcefulness, often resolutely fighting against overwhelming odds as the last man standing.

Kersantti Kuokkanen, korprs Karko, Raunhofer and Spinoza and stms Sahuri and Shuko were awarded with Kuntoisuusloma (KL) for exemplary service.

Game Night with Shack Tactical

LDD Kyllikki joined forces with Shack Tactical on Sunday. Some seventy players on Shack Tac's server guaranteed good company, fierce fighting in an organized fashion and altogether a very memorable event.

LDDK appreciates having been part of operations of this magnitude and is looking forward to doing it again.

Squad Meeting in Jyväskylä

The detachment's spring meeting was held on May 22 in Central Finland.

Match with Victrix Legion

A friendly game of Attack & Defend was played on Sunday against Victrix Legion. Well organized and highly skilful as the Norwegian team was, the match resulted in a close draw.

LDD Kyllikki Nine Years

Local Defence Detachment Kyllikki was formed on the 30th of March in 2001. Over the past nine years, more than a hundred men have served in her ranks and fought countless battles home and abroad.

Today, the fighting unit of LDDK is as strong as it has ever been and eager to face whatever may lie ahead.

To celebrate the occasion, the following members are recognized for their accomplishments.

Korpr Raunhofer has been awarded with Pro Kyllikki (PK) for exemplary service and great favours for LDDK. Going above and beyond the call of duty, korpr Raunhofer has striven consistently to improve the experience of his comrades in the best tradition of the detachment.

Alik Kuik and korpr CZ have been awarded with Kuntoisuusloma for outstanding service.
